After five seasons, Paul George is leaving the Los Angeles Clippers to sign a four-year, $212 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The 34-year-old All-Star will join forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Clippers released a statement saying that despite months of negotiations, they were unable to come to an agreement with George’s representative. The gap between the two parties was significant, leading to their separation.
George had a $48.8 million option for the 2024-2025 season but opted out to pursue other opportunities. He will now join the 76ers, who have been looking to add another star player to their lineup.
