Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Involved In Two Serious  Police Investigations

Dallas law enforcement is currently probing into assertions of a purported sexual assault allegedly involving Dak Prescott and a woman dating back to 2017. A representative from the Dallas Police Department disclosed that they received a report detailing an incident purportedly transpiring on February 2, 2017, situated in the vicinity of 8500 Stemmons Freeway. They emphasized that the investigation into the matter is ongoing. The incident purportedly unfolded within the premises of XTC Cabaret, a strip club in Dallas, with the report reaching the Dallas police on Tuesday.

Simultaneously, another facet of this investigation involves Dak Prescott himself, who, residing in Prosper, claimed to be a victim of extortion. Confirming this, an official relayed to The Dallas Morning News that the Prosper police are actively looking into these claims. Prescott, however, refutes these allegations. His legal counsel convened with Prosper police recently, asserting that Prescott could potentially be a target of theft via coercion. Nevertheless, Prosper authorities refrained from disclosing further details, citing the early stage of the investigation.

In response to these developments, Dak Prescott took legal action, lodging a lawsuit in Collin County. The suit targets a Fort Worth woman, alleging that she fabricated a sexual assault accusation against him to extort a staggering $100 million. Prescott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern, maintained that the encounter was consensual but refrained from divulging specifics. Notably, Prescott’s legal representatives engaged with Prosper Police mere days before initiating the lawsuit.

According to court documents, the purported incident took place in Plano around February 2, 2017. However, it remains uncertain whether Plano authorities have commenced an inquiry into the matter. The woman’s attorney, Yoel Zehaie, declared during an interview that his client was “raped” by Prescott, hinting at a forthcoming civil lawsuit and not ruling out the possibility of criminal charges. Nevertheless, The Dallas Morning News adheres to its policy of not disclosing the identities of sexual assault victims.

Both the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys declined to comment on this matter. The statutes of limitations for sex crimes against adults in Texas are contingent upon the severity of the offense, with a criminal statute of limitations set at 10 years and a civil statute of limitations set at five years according to state law.
