Raiders re-signs Defensive tackle on a year deal
Following a successful stint in Las Vegas throughout 2023, defensive tackle Adam Butler is set to make a return for the 2024 season.
According to various sources, Butler has reached an agreement on a one-year contract extension with the Raiders.
Originally entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Patriots back in 2017, the now 29-year-old Butler spent four seasons in New England before a brief tenure with the Miami Dolphins. However, his career trajectory took an uncertain turn in 2022 when the Dolphins released him due to an undisclosed injury, leading to an entire season spent on the sidelines and raising doubts about his future in the league.
Nevertheless, Butler’s fortunes changed when he joined the Raiders in 2023, delivering an impressive performance throughout the season. Despite initial concerns about his injury history, Butler showcased resilience, participating in all 17 games and tallying five sacks. Now, as he gears up for the upcoming season, the Raiders are counting on him to replicate his success on the field once again in 2024.
