Eight Melbourne Storm Players Earn International Selections for Upcoming Representative Fixtures

Melbourne Storm have eight players selected for representative sides in upcoming international fixtures.

Harry Grant, Cameron Munster and Xavier Coates have been selected in the Kangaroos squad for the Ashes Tour, which includes Test matches at Wembley Stadium (October 25), Everton Stadium (November 1) and Headingley (November 8). Grant has also been named vice-captain of the Kangaroos.

Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been named in the Kiwis squad for the Pacific Championships, where they’ll face Samoa and Tonga. Their campaign kicks off on Sunday, October 19, against Toa Samoa at Go Media Stadium in Auckland. Jahrome Hughes is unavailable for selection due to injury.

Tonga has named Dally M Second Rower of the Year, Eli Katoa, in their squad for the Pacific Championships, alongside Stefano Utoikamanu, who is expected to make his international debut. Tonga’s first match will be against Samoa at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Sunday, October 26.

After featuring for Samoa last year, Shawn Blore will miss the upcoming Pacific Championships tournament due to injury.

Tyran Wishart and Nick Meaney were both selected in the Prime Minister’s XIII side to face the PNG Prime Minister’s XIII at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby on Sunday, October 12.
