Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis has officially joined Portuguese giants Benfica on a five-year deal, solidifying his position as one of Europe’s most promising young forwards.
The 24-year-old talent has signed a contract until June 2029, with Benfica shelling out an impressive €18 million transfer fee to secure his services. An additional €2 million in add-ons is also part of the deal.
Pavlidis’ impressive performance at AZ Alkmaar caught the attention of top clubs, with West Ham, Fulham, and Crystal Palace also vying for his signature. However, Benfica’s offer proved too enticing to resist.
