Castleford Tigers have officially confirmed the signing of Leigh Leopards winger Darnell McIntosh on a two-year contract, in what many fans are already calling one of the club’s smartest moves ahead of the 2026 Super League season.
The 28-year-old speedster, known for his agility and try-scoring instinct, joins the Tigers after an impressive stint at Leigh, where he notched up four tries in just 11 Super League appearances during the 2025 campaign.
McIntosh began his professional career with Huddersfield Giants, where he quickly earned a reputation as one of the most exciting young backs in the league. After several successful seasons, he moved to Hull FC, continuing to build his name as a reliable and hard-working outside back before switching to Leigh Leopards in April 2024.
Now, McIntosh says he’s ready for a fresh challenge at Wheldon Road, expressing excitement about joining a squad filled with energy, ambition, and depth under the leadership of head coach Ryan Carr.
