FC Halifax Town winger AJ Warburton has joined National League North side Marine on a three-month loan deal, as he looks to gain regular first-team experience. Warburton, who signed for Halifax earlier this summer from lower-league outfit Avro FC, impressed during his time at Avro with his attacking flair, pace, and ability to take on defenders, which earned him a move to The Shay.
Since arriving at Halifax, the young winger has been involved consistently in pre-season matches, featuring regularly and showing flashes of his potential in wide areas. Despite his promising performances, competition for places in the Halifax squad remains high, and the club believes a loan spell at Marine will help accelerate his development by allowing him to play more competitive minutes.

Marine, who currently compete in the National League North, are expected to benefit from Warburton’s energy and creativity on the wings as they push to improve their league standing. Halifax will closely monitor his performances during the loan period and assess his progress ahead of his return.
Both clubs see this move as a positive opportunity for the player’s growth. Warburton will be hoping to make an immediate impact at Marine and continue his rise through the ranks.
