Hollywood Brown showing interest in joining Chiefs?
Hollywood Brown, currently a free agent, appears to have a strong inclination toward joining a specific team, with the Kansas City Chiefs emerging as a prime candidate. Observant fans have noted interactions between Brown and Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Chiefs, on Instagram, where both individuals are now following each other. Furthermore, Brown has shown interest in Mahomes’ trainer, hinting at a potential connection being established.
At 26 years old, Brown has exhibited considerable potential as a dynamic playmaker, a quality highly sought after by the Chiefs. His performance in the 2021 season with the Baltimore Ravens showcased his abilities, recording impressive stats with 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and 6 touchdowns. Originally drafted in the first round by the Ravens in 2019, Brown subsequently joined the Arizona Cardinals via a trade, where he continued to demonstrate his prowess with 118 catches for 1,283 yards and 7 touchdowns over two seasons.
The Chiefs, despite winning the Super Bowl in previous seasons, identified the wide receiver position as an area for improvement, given their reliance on tight end Travis Kelce for receiving yards. In the preceding season, their leading wide receiver, Rashee Rice, accumulated 79 catches for 938 yards and 7 touchdowns. Brown’s potential addition could offer a significant boost to their offensive lineup, providing a complementary skill set to Rice if negotiations align with the team’s financial considerations.
