Breaking News: Tottenham’s Push for Star Player to Seal Ivan Toney Deal for Next Level Success!
Despite selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer, the Lilywhites have decided not to sign a new striker. However, it looks that they intend to do so before next season, as they have recently been associated with a number of names. Santiago Giménez, Albert Gudmundsson, and Dominic Solanke have all emerged as prospective targets, but Spurs are also apparently interested in Toney. The forward is allegedly open to leaving Brentford this summer, with his current deal scheduled to expire at the end of next season. The Bees are reportedly willing to let him leave the club for a sum of around £60 million.
Speaking on Football Insider, Hutton stated that the Brentford player would be a ‘great’ signing for Tottenham if they acquired him because he possesses the qualities to take Spurs to the ‘next level’. When asked who would be the best signing for Tottenham to strengthen their frontline, Hutton replied:
Arsenal and Chelsea were earlier believed to be interested in signing the Englishman, but they appear to have opted not to pursue the transaction. Manchester United has been mentioned as a possible suitor for Toney, so Tottenham may face competition from the record Premier League champions in completing any prospective deal for him. Toney had a fantastic 2022/23 season, but he was suspended for the first half of last season after being found guilty of breaking the betting regulations. Following his return, he helped his team avoid relegation.
After demonstrating his abilities in the Premier League over the last several years, he has earned a place in the England squad and is expected to play an important part for his country in the European Championship. So, Toney is a top-tier striker who would be a fantastic acquisition for Tottenham if they signed him this summer.
