The Green Bay Packers experienced a high level of success under former head coach Mike McCarthy. Of course, everyone remembers how he led the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XLV, an achievement that got a street named after him in Green Bay
McCarthy also oversaw the transition from one Hall of Fame quarterback, Brett Favre, to another in Aaron Rodgers. Of course, no one knew at the time that Rodgers was going to be as great he was. McCarthy handled the entire situation with as much grace and professionalism that one could have asked for.
Unfortunately, the 2018 Packers got off to a 4-7-1 start after finishing 7-9 in 2017. With tension growing between McCarthy and Rodgers, Green Bay made the decision to fire their head coach before the season ended.
