The Northern Ireland international damaged his left shoulder during the Owls’ FA Cup defeat to Brentford on Saturday and had to be substituted.
It would mark the second time this season the 20-year-old will have been out of action for an extended spell, after sustaining an injury on his right shoulder in August that ruled him out for over three months.

Charles has made 11 appearances this season and his performances have been one of the few highlights of a challenging campaign for the Owls.
It may also affect his availability for Northern Ireland’s World Cup play-off semi-final against Italy on 26 March.
