BREAKING: Worcester Warriors Land Leicester Tigers Prop in Major Transfer Coup

WORCESTER Warriors have added some ballast to their pack with the acquisition of an England under-20s star.

Leicester Tigers tighthead prop Tim Hoyt will join Matt Everard’s men for the new season, as Warriors men’s squad make their return to the pitch.

The 22-year-old has made seven appearances for Tigers in the Premiership Rugby Cup and one in the Premiership.

He has also played for England in the Under-20 Six Nations, and in the Championship for teams including Chinnor and Nottingham.

Hoyt said: “There’s an incredible energy surrounding Worcester Warriors right now – it feels like the perfect moment to step in and make a difference.

“The opportunity to contribute to this journey was simply too good to miss.”

Everard added: “Tim Hoyt is an extremely talented young tighthead.

“He has a big ceiling and I am hugely excited to see him grow and grow.”

Warriors have announced several new deals since it was confirmed that they would play in the new expanded 14-team second tier, rebranded Champ Rugby.

This includes signings such as Premiership stalwarts Josh Bassett and Fraser Balmain, Wales scrum-half Lloyd Williams, and a return for back rower Matt Kvesic.
