The plaintiff’s attorney filed a “non-suit without prejudice” request, which allowed the plaintiff to give up her case and re-file in a different county. The attorney also claimed that the plaintiff had not entirely given up her suit.
Dak’s attorney, Levi McCathern, shared a statement with WFAA on Wednesday, repeating Prescott’s innocence.
“Her allegations are completely false, and this is all a continuation of the extortion plot against Dak,” McCathern said.
“It is truly sad for the true survivors of sexual assault that people try to use our system to enrich themselves at the expense of others. The good news for Dak is I am confident the truth will prevail in this matter.”
Prescott awaits a sizable contract extension from Jerry Jones and the Cowboys as he enters the final season of a four-year, $160 million extension, signed back in 2021.
