The Chicago Bears have solidified their quarterback position by signing Caleb Williams to a four-year contract on July 17, 2024.
Williams, the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has been a standout performer in his rookie season. He is on the verge of making history by becoming the third quarterback ever, after Tom Brady and Derek Carr, to have ten consecutive games with 20+ pass attempts and no interceptions. With 326 consecutive attempts without an interception, he is set to break records. Additionally, Williams is close to becoming the Bears’ single-season passing yards leader, needing 567 more yards to surpass Erik Kramer’s record of 3,838 yards.
This strategic move underscores the Bears’ commitment to building a competitive team around Williams, aiming to enhance their offensive capabilities and overall performance in the league.
