Dragons young gun Loko Pasifiki Tonga has been cleared of any major injury after he was rushed to hospital by ambulance following an incident at training.
Pasifiki Tonga left the training field in a neck brace on Thursday with members of staff captured in a photo gathered around am ambulance as he was moved, using a stretcher, into the vehicle.
The photo was published on X.
The Dragons confirmed that he was taken to hospital for precautionary scans.
“He was conscious and communicating with medical staff at all times,” the club said.
The club has since confirmed that scans have cleared the 20-year-old of any major neck injury concerns and that he has returned to the training centre.
No details have been provided as to how Pasifiki Tonga was injured.
He was named on the extended bench for the side’s upcoming round three battle against the Parramatta Eels on Sunday afternoon and the club has not yet ruled him out of that game.
“He will be monitored by our medical staff over the coming days before a determination is made on his availability to play this weekend,” the Dragons said.
