The Orioles: Youthful, Dynamic, and Eyeing the World Series

According to ZiPS projections, the Orioles are anticipated to finish the upcoming season with a record of 90-72, following a stellar 101-61 performance in 2023. Boldly stated, I firmly believe the Baltimore Orioles are primed for a World Series run in 2024.

Baltimore boasts one of the most impressive arrays of young talent in baseball, headlined by last season’s Rookie of the Year, Gunnar Henderson, and the 2022 runner-up, Adley Rutschman. This year, Jackson Holliday could continue Baltimore’s streak of rookie successes. Complemented by a veteran outfield with a deep-rooted determination to succeed, the Orioles present a formidable squad.

While their 101-win performance last year exceeded expectations, the Orioles haven’t rested on their laurels. They’ve reinforced their bullpen by reacquiring Craig Kimbrel and acquired top-tier starter Corbin Burnes from the Brewers to bolster their rotation.

Burnes will play a pivotal role in a relatively inexperienced rotation, comprising Kyle Bradish, Grayson Rodriguez, Dean Kremer, and Tyler Wells. Only Kremer has significant big-league experience, with Bradish starting the season on the injured list due to a UCL sprain.
