The EA Sports College Football 25 game has been out for quite some time now, and if you’re like me, you’ve spent countless hours building your dynasty with Kansas State. The experts on the game have also been playing in dynasty mode, and they had some fun by running 50 simulations to figure out which teams would make the College Football Playoff. In doing these simulations, they kept track of the number of times each team made the playoff, and Kansas State made it more than once.
In 50 simulations, Kansas State made it to the College Football Playoff 11 times, the third most of any team in the Big 12, behind Utah and Oklahoma State. However, when the simulations continued to determine the National Champion, K-State unfortunately did not come away with any titles.
This season presents Kansas State’s best opportunity to make the College Football Playoff, especially with the playoff expanding to 12 teams. The Wildcats are projected to finish second in the Big 12, positioning them for an at-large bid or even an automatic bid if they win the conference.
All the talk this offseason has centered around Avery Johnson and what he will do as the full-time starter for the Wildcats. However, there’s more to this team than just Johnson, as he has quite a few weapons around him.
No one should forget DJ Giddens and what he brings to the table, along with a wide receiver group that is coming together nicely. Johnson is set to lead this team for years to come as long as he stays at Kansas State, so this could just be the beginning of K-State’s potential reign in the Big 12.
