Jimmy Keinhorst, a member of Leeds Rhinos’ historic treble-winning team of 2015, has announced his retirement from professional rugby league. The 34-year-old German international will retire after playing his final match on Sunday, representing York Knights against Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship. Now training to become a train driver, Keinhorst has decided to step away from the sport due to work commitments.
Born in Leeds, he debuted for the Rhinos in 2012, and in 2015, he played a crucial role in their Grand Final victory by setting up a try for Josh Walters, securing the treble for the Rhinos.
