The 2026 Super Netball fixtures are here, with fans left waiting until Round 7 to see a grand final rematch between the Melbourne Vixens and West Coast Fever.
Ahead of a massive Commonwealth Games campaign starting in late July, the 2026 season will start earlier with a condensed 14-round fixture.
The season will commence on March 14 – the earliest start since back in the inaugural 2017 Super Netball campaign, with a grand final set for the first weekend in July.
That timeline then gives athletes only a few short weeks before the Games commence in the final week of July in Glasgow.
Former Giants skipper Jamie-Lee Price won’t have to wait to face her former side – with her Melbourne Mavericks to take on the Giants in that season opener.
There’s currently no venue confirmed for that very first match – with the Mavericks’ home court John Cain Arena also serving as a potential NBL finals spot from early March.
But the remained of the fixture is set, with only Friday night match – again hosted by the West Coast Fever in May, and no split rounds/byes for teams either.
Super Netball’s traditional two-game Saturday and two-game Sunday format will remain for 13 of the 14 rounds, including over the Easter break.
Remarkably, the 2026 season will feature a Sydney double header at Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday March 22, with the Giants to take on the Melbourne Vixens before the NSW Swifts play immediately after against the Melbourne Mavericks at the same venue.
“The 2026 fixture reflects the continued evolution of the league,” Netball Australia CEO Stacey West said.
“After the biggest season in our history … we’re positioned for another landmark year.
“We are the most attended female sport in Australia and it is a title we are proud to hold for the second year in a row.”
Netball Australia described the 2026 season – which will be the 10th for Super Netball – as a “launch pad for a bold new era”.
There are no games scheduled for Tasmania for just the second year since the Collingwood Magpies took games across in 2019 (excluding the compromised 2020 Covid season).
As it stands, the home and away season will conclude on Sunday, June 14 before finals begin the following week.
Netball Australia enjoyed a record 2025 Super Netball campaign where more than 386,450 people attended and the grand final became the most-watched in league history.
