With the trade deadline just three days away, some teams, like the Carolina Hurricanes, are emerging as top suitors. If the Hurricanes can put together a good enough package, the New York Rangers will be forced to make an in-Metro trade.
Recently, Trocheck made his priorities very clear in a statement ahead of the deadline. He notably has a no-trade clause and has already revealed that he will use it to stay on the East Coast.

Vincent Trocheck Wants to Win the Stanley Cup

Vincent Trocheck had this to say about his potential trade destination:
“I am 32 years old. I would like to win a Stanley Cup.”
This is great news for the Carolina Hurricanes, who currently sit comfortably atop the Metro Division, if they can put together a strong enough trade package. The Canes are certified threats in the Eastern Conference, and Trocheck fits exactly what the team needs.
It’s already been reported that West Coast teams are where he will utilize that no-trade clause in his seven-year, $39.375 million contract, which pays him a cap hit of $5.625 million. Trocheck has 12 goals and 38 points on a bad Rangers team over 45 games played.
His comments may be blunt for Rangers’ fans to hear, but it’s the truth, and New York seems to be going in the wrong direction. The other teams, aside from the Canes, that are thought to be prime destinations are the Minnesota Wild and Detroit Red Wings.
