You Won’t Believe Which Reading FC Defender Just Got Nominated for Player of the Season!

As the Royals aim for play-off glory, Michael Stickland, a defender for Reading, has been nominated for PL2 Player of the Season.

Stickland, 20, captains Noel Hunt’s Under-21 team. He is gearing up for Monday’s semi-final matchup with Sunderland, having just won the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup. In the championship game, the victor will either visit Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur. In addition to captaining the team 20 times this season, the center-back played a brief two-minute cameo in a 5-0 victory over Swindon Town in the EFL Trophy group round.
