Breaking News: Everton Takeover Update – Dan Freidkin’s Massive Cash Injection Set for Next Week!
According to speculations, Dan Freidkin will need to raise a considerable sum of money before finalising an Everton takeover. Farhad Moshiri picked Freidkin to buy the majority owner’s 94.1% interest. After 777 Partners’ buyout flopped, a number of companies expressed interest in purchasing Everton.
They included local businessmen Andy Bell and George Downing, Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor, and Vici Private Finance. Moshiri, however, prefers Freidkin, who owns AS Roma through his firm, the Freidkin Group.
However, if the American billionaire is to proceed, The Times writes that he must contribute £200 million. That will repay a £158 million loan supplied by Bell, Downing, and MSP Sports Capital, another company interested in a takeover last year. Everton would then have £30 million to cover its operating costs. It is claimed that Freidkin will pay the monies on Monday, June 17, with exclusivity rights provided the following day.
