Novak Djokovic plans on continuing to visit the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun in the future as the Serbian tennis star is reportedly building a house there so he can have his place to stay whenever he is visiting the place he once described as “a paradise on earth.”
Over the last couple of years, 36-year-old Djokovic has been a frequent guest at the Archeological Park in Visoko, where he went after some of his biggest wins but also after some of his biggest lows.
During the pandemic – when he received a major backlash and criticism over organizing a tennis event in the Balkans during which some players tested positive for COVID – Djokovic paid a visit to the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun in 2020 July to mentally recharge. A couple of months later, the Serbian tennis star returned to the Archeological Park after his 2020 US Open run ended in the round of 16 with a bizarre disqualification.
In 2021, Djokovic visited the Archeological Park Ravne 2 in Visoko just before his 2022 French Open and Wimbledon wins.
But probably the best example of how highly Djokovic thinks of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and its energy came in 2022 January. After the Australia visa saga that resulted in the Serb being deported from the country, the record 24-time Grand Slam champion went to the Archeological Park in Ravne 2 to mentally and physically recover and recharge from one of the most uncomfortable experiences of his life.
Over the years, Djokovic has also created a strong relationship with the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun founder, Dr. Semir Osmanagic.
“Novak loves Visoko. He chose this place as one of those places where he resets and recharges his energy. Every time he comes here, he is in a great mood and full of positive energy, which he always gets extra whenever he visits the pyramids in Bosnia,” a source with direct knowledge of the information told Serbian media outlet Kurir.
“It often comes after great victories, but also after some difficult moments, as was the case after the deportation from Australia or the suspension and expulsion from the US Open in 2020. Until now, he always rented the same accommodation, so he stayed in a large house built of natural materials, which is surrounded by forest and greenery on all sides.”

A source of Kurir – who seems to be someone from the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun team – shared that Djokovic isn’t building a large property. Also, the source revealed that the house will be mostly made out of “natural materials.”
“He found his oasis and hidden corner away from the public eye. However, he recently decided that this is the place where he wants to build a new house for his loved ones and himself, so the realization of that project began immediately,” the source shared.
“The house is being built on private property. It will not be a large property, it will look to blend into the environment and to be made of natural materials – stone and wood and in harmony with nature.
“Quite enough for him and his family when they decide to spend their free time in peace. It is in an excellent location, right across from the tunnel, where the foundation’s headquarters and Dr. Semir’s house are located.”
Djokovic: If there is a paradise on earth, then it is here
Over the years, Djokovic has never been shy to reveal how he honestly feels about the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and the Archeological Park Ravne 2. A couple of years, Djokovic made a very strong statement as he went as far as to say that the Pyramid of the Sun is probably the closest thing to “a paradise on earth.”
“If there is a paradise on earth, then it is here. There are several places in my life that I have visited where I feel completely fulfilled in every way. This is a unique experience for me,” Djokovic said during one of his visits to the Park Ravne 2 a couple of years ago.
“I am in what they call the alternative world today, even though we know that it is the original world, for over a decade and I have been to various places that were considered energy hubs and have concentric circles. My subjective feeling is phenomenal and I am fascinated by the Pyramid of the Sun.”
In 2022, the Archeological Park in Ravne 2 opened two tennis courts – one with a hard surface and the other with a clay surface. The courts were opened in 2022 July and Djokovic took part in it, just days after his 2022 Wimbledon win.
When the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun decided to build two tennis courts at the Archeological Park, one of their goals was to also give Djokovic a place to train when he is visiting Ravne 2.
